Shojo Manga Color Workbook. If you want to learn how to color and shade without ruining that drawing you've taken hours to perfect, this is the book for you. With 45 drawings you can copy and color using Annie's great tips, you'll be great at blending, shading and more in no time!
Combining Pencils and MarkersYou have learned some basic techniques using the vivid, bold colors of markers and the textures of colored pencils. Let's use both of these mediums together and have some fun!
COLORED PENCIL TECHNIQUES
1 Apply Markers FirstTo avoid the smudge of markers over colored pencils, put colored pencils on top of the finished marker work. Try to keep the picture simple to set up for the finishing details.
2 Add Extra ShadingUse colored pencils to shade some extra details like shadows and folds. Usually, similar colors work great for those details, but you can experiment with other combinations.
3 Add Crosshatching Patterns in the BackgroundIs the background too plain? Add several crosshatching lines with different colors and shades. The crosshatching will give a nice finishing touch to the background.
You can also learn how to draw manga characters and scenes and learn even more about using Copic markers from Annie's book,
Shojo Wonder Manga Art School.
